Approach
The field waits.
Contact becomes signal. Signal becomes evidence.
The First Body receives the viewer. Thirteen transmissions interpret the signal. Collector-held cubes receive it beyond the room.
The work is not a loop or a fixed file. It is a state: waiting, activated, transmitted, confirmed, then returned to rest.
The field waits.
A viewer reaches the First Body.
The system forms a broadcast state.
Thirteen pillars translate it.
Remote cubes receive it and answer.
The room returns to rest.
A monolithic origin object with a sensing surface, suspended chamber, signal core, and proximity field. It makes contact feel consequential.

Arranged around the First Body, the six-foot LED pillars form the local field: image, light, motion, sound, distortion, and delay.
Synchronized, but never identical.
Collector-held constellation units receive the active state from elsewhere. Each one becomes proof that the signal traveled.
When a unit receives a transmission, its holder can confirm: “I am still out here.” That confirmation returns to the system.
It begins with contact, moves through the local field, reaches the constellation units, and waits for confirmation.
Every activation produces a different state.
low light / quiet field / no active broadcast
human presence enters the system
the First Body sends the signal outward
the signal decays until the next activation
The room sends events to a public transmission layer: interaction, generated image, broadcast, receipt, and confirmation.
When we are gone, Ethereum may still hold the proof that someone reached forward and someone answered.
the First Body records contact
the generated state is sent outward
constellation units receive the signal
holders answer: “I am still out here”
the confirmation re-enters the work
The work chooses to send.
A person reaches forward.
The First Body answers.
The field wakes.
The constellation answers back.
